Abstract

Every epoch and every culture has established a distinct and differant prototype of beauty. In particular, the female breast has been subject to the mercurial whims of society and shape, size and general importance have received fluctuating emphasis.
to have physically acceptable breast is a normal desire, and the psychologic implication of this desire must not be underestimated.
The principle indication for reduction mammoplasty is the alleviation of symptoms associated with breast weight. Innumerable techniques that have been described over the years are effective in breast reduction. In severe macromastia, unquestionably the safest procedure is that of a partial breast amputation and free transfer of the nipple.
This is a case of Gigantomastia in 34 yrs. Old multigravid woman. The method of treament was Conway¡¯s partial amputation and free nipple transfer technique.
